after meandering around lymington we picked up some snacks for a picnic and headed west, stopping at corfe castle along the way. we parked off the main road then hiked a cute little trail up to the castle and the village. the castle was closed so we took some pictures and then grabbed some pints in the “most photographed pub in england.” which i subsequently did not take a picture of.

we then stopped at lulworth cove, which apparently is a fine example of a jurassic coast. it’s gorgeous, to say the least.

our last stop on this mini coastal tour was durdle door, a natural limestone arch along the jurassic coast. we brought our picnic down to the pebble beach and watched the sun set behind us and the moon rise before us above the arch.
