2-4; world’s fair park.
5-7; new year’s eve.
8-12; downtown and old city.

another thing i never did during the five years i lived in knoxville was celebrate new year’s eve. i’ve always spent new year’s either in new england or wherever my dad lived at the time. so the one plan i made for while i was stateside this past christmas holiday was to be in knoxville for new year’s with my nearest and dearest. we visited all the usual haunts, drank at our favourite bars, saw a lot of old friends and even made new ones. it was fairly dead with all the students home for break, but all i have to say is that you can’t go wrong in a town where you can get $2 pints almost every night of the week.
